Beginnings

Our Foundation and Purpose

St. Joseph’s College of Rodriguez, Inc. (SJCR) is a Catholic educational institution rooted in the Franciscan spirit of service, compassion, and holistic formation.

Established in 2009 as a Satellite Campus of St. Joseph’s College of Quezon City, SJCR was founded to extend quality and transformative education to the growing community of Rodriguez, Rizal.

Growth & Milestones

Academic Expansion

SJCR opened its doors in School Year 2009–2010 offering Bachelor’s degree programs in Business Administration, Education, Information Technology, and a Certificate Program in Hotel and Restaurant Management.

The academic offerings expanded the following year with the inclusion of Pre-Elementary and Grade One, paving the way for the gradual growth of the Basic Education Department.

Our Journey Through the Years

SJCR’s history reflects steady growth, educational commitment, and service to the community.

2009

SJCR Was Established

St. Joseph’s College of Rodriguez was founded as a satellite campus of St. Joseph’s College of Quezon City to serve the educational needs of Rodriguez.

2014–2016

Basic Education Expansion

The Grade School Department was completed, followed by the opening of Junior High School, expanding SJCR’s role in foundational education.

2015

Independent Institution

SJCR officially became an independent institution, strengthening its identity and continuing its mission in education and formation.

2017–2020

New Campus and Senior High School

The school expanded to the San Rafael Campus, with the College of Arts and Sciences and Senior High School eventually operating in the new location.

Today

A Thriving Learning Community

SJCR continues to grow as a vibrant educational institution committed to faith, excellence, innovation, and service in the Franciscan tradition.
